Chapel in Tahancha
Franchuk Valery
canva, oil, 56 x 71, Kyiv, 2007 Tahancha single-nave chapel, located on a hill, and built at the expense of Joseph Poniatowski. Probably, it was a subsidiary of the Boguslawski church. Architecturally, the chapel has been closely associated with the palace complex, which was to the left, on the other hill. Just like in the palace, there was a six-pillar portico closed with a triangle pediment. Above the gable roof rose a tambour with a dome and cross. The building was surrounded by a wreath of trees and bushes. We do not know how long the chapel served the faithful, or what happened to it. Source:
