Church of Sakramentanek. Lviv
canva, acrylic, 60 x 70, Kyiv, 2007
The construction of the temple began in 1718 and lasted almost 40 years. The baroque church was built from a project by outstanding architect, Bernard Merytyna. The church of the Sakramentanek monestary has enormous size and plasticity of the tower on the main facade, which was not in the original design of the church; it was added at the time of reconstruction in the 80’s of the nineteenth century. At the time of its construction, the architect A. Minasiewicz very aptly used the shapes of typical ХVІІІ century architecture.
The monastery was built in 1780.
Today, at the Sakramentanek church is the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church.
