Kamieniecki Castle is the jewel of medieval art. For a long time believed that it was built in the second half of the fourteenth century, but archaeological research from 1964 - 1982 date the Kamianetska fortress to the end of the twelvth – beginning of the thirteenth century.
At the end of XIV - in the mid-fifteenth century, the castle area increased from 700 m2 to 6 hectares. The number of towers was increased, which already complied with the rules flagship firing. Construction phases for the next few centuries, were determined by the architecture - functional plan of the castle.
The next upgrade of the castle was carried out in the middle of the sixteenth century with bold, raised walls, which completed construction of the Lasek tower, New West Tower was built along with East Tower, eastern wall of the castle, the palace of governor, brickyard, bakery, and stonemason workshops.
During the reign of the Turks, part of the building underwent repairs and reconstruction. In the eighteenth century the castle's southern and western part of the walls were added, and walls of the fortifications before the bridges. These works can be considered as final in the formation of a complex defensive team. In the nineteenth century, the castle lost its strategic importance, and therefore part of the fortifications were dismantled.
